Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026·Applies to the RootPulse Viewer web application.

For the company marketing website, see also rootpulse.eu/privacy-policy.

Who we are

The RootPulse Viewer is operated by RootPulse Solutions, which is the data controller of personal data processed through this Service.

We take care of your personal data and undertake to guarantee its confidentiality and security.

Scope

This policy explains how we process information when you use the RootPulse Viewer (sign-in, dashboard, interactive maps, downloads, and related admin tools). It covers the application specifically; browsing rootpulse.eu may involve additional website-only practices described on that site’s privacy policy.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

  • Account data — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers (you sign in with credentials provided via invite).
  • Organisation data — membership of a client organisation (farm / club / group) and role where applicable.
  • Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, security and access logs, and similar technical information needed to run and protect the Service (similar in spirit to “Device Information” on our marketing site).
  • Operational content — fields, scans, map layers (e.g. RGB, indices, DSM), reports, notes, and related files your organisation uploads or views. This may include location-related data (e.g. field boundaries, orthomosaics).

Why we process your data

Our priority is secure delivery of drone survey deliverables. We process data only as needed to:

  • Provide authenticated access to maps, downloads, and organisation content
  • Operate hosting, storage, and the map tile pipeline
  • Prevent abuse (including bot protection on sign-in)
  • Maintain reliability, support, and legal compliance

For users in the European Economic Area, processing is typically based on performance of a contract (providing the Service to you or your organisation), legitimate interests (security and service operation), and legal obligations where applicable.

We use service providers that process data on our instructions. The main processors for the Viewer are listed below.

Some technical processing may involve infrastructure outside the EEA (for example global CDN/DNS edge networks). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the vendor’s data processing terms and standard contractual clauses / data privacy frameworks as set out by those providers.

Third-party integrations (Cloudflare Turnstile)

This application may use Cloudflare Turnstile widgets to protect sign-in and related forms from automated abuse. Additional information is available in Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy documentation: cloudflare.com/en-gb/turnstile-privacy-policy.

Information security

We secure information on systems in a controlled environment protected from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure, using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Access to the Viewer requires authentication. Files are stored in private object storage and served with short-lived links where appropriate. No method of transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Legal disclosure

We will disclose information we collect, use, or receive if required or permitted by law (for example to comply with a subpoena or similar process), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
